Dublin – Oct 2013

Bookassist has been announced as TripConnect Premium Partner for TripAdvisor’s new meta search platform (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ConnectPartners). TripConnect will be a powerful new way for hotels and B&Bs to generate incremental direct bookings by participating in Hotel Price Comparison and self-managing their online advertising campaigns using TripConnect’s unique bid management platform. Certified booking engines will provide the accommodation’s real time availability and online booking capability to make this possible, with Bookassist among the first to be certified.

With the upcoming launch of TripConnect, accommodation clients will be able to bid for TripAdvisor meta search traffic, participate in automated review collection and track return on investment for their campaigns.

New Opportunties

“TripAdvisor is one of the top sources of referral traffic for many of Bookassist’s clients. Hotel customers research their holiday on TripAdvisor before making a decision on which hotel to book. Hotel’s have a great opportunity to increase their direct bookings by showing their rates and availability directly to the potential guest” said Mary Collins, Head of Internet Marketing Bookassist.

“TripConnect certification opens up new opportunities for our Internet booking engine partners,” said Jean-Charles Lacoste, TripAdvisor’s Vice President of Direct Connect Solutions. “When the platform launches, accommodation owners of all sizes can benefit from TripAdvisor’s Hotel Price Comparison via certified Internet booking engines. TripConnect will be a new, very efficient way for hoteliers to generate incremental business via their Internet booking engine.”
